Državno natjecanje iz astronomije 2009.

Ove godine naši članovi Filip Novoselnik i Denis Vida su sudjelovali na državnom natjecanju iz astronomije. Ono je održano od 10. do 12. svibnja u Omišu, u srednjoj školi Jure Kaštelan. Natjecalo se 91 učenika i učenica od 5 razreda osnovne do 4 razreda srednje škole.
 
Filip Noveselnik je imao radnju pod nazivom "Pretraživanje fotometrijske baze OAM-a u potrazi za promjenjivim zvijezdama" i mentor mu je bio Stefan Cikota, a Denis Vida je imao radnju s nazivom "Autoguiding i njegova primjena u astrofotografiji" i mentor mu je bio Robert Gregić. 
 
Filip Novoselnik je zauzeo 2., a Denis Vida 5. mjesto!
 
Konačni poredak je rezultat zbrajanja bodova koje su postigli u pisanom testu i u recenziji rada.
 
Filip Novoselnik je pozvan za Olimpijadu astronomije koja će se održati u Kini u Studenome!

Croatian Meteor Network - Image Processing

ObradaHere's a little update about our participation within the Croatian Meteor Network. As you already know, one of the 15 cameras is located in Valpovo, at our club, on our building.

So that you wouldn't think we just sit around and do nothing, in the last couple of weeks we've begun processing captured frames. Here's a short description of the process.

Predavanje: Misije Apollo ( Gaj Tomaš)   This Satuday, 11 April 2009, a lecture was held at "Anonymus" in Valpovo: Mission "Apollo". This lecture marks the International Year of Astronomy, in our way, and the topic is closley related to it, as well as to another anniversary - the moon landing. We also welcomed some guests from Osijek.

Observation report from 100 hours of astronomy in Valpovo

        This weekend, (4. and 5. April) astronomy club "Anonymus" marked the "100 hours of Astronomy" project by a public telescope observation on the old tower in Valpovo. Many people came, kids, parents, grandparents, and everybody was pleased with what they saw through out Celestron scope.

"Wow", "Look at that" were a constant response from the crowed as we gazed at Saturn and the Moon. Take a look at some photos from Saturday's observation...

Public telescope observation in Valpovo!

IYA LOGOThe International Year of Astronomy is under way and "Anonymus" would like to invite you to:

 Public observation of the night sky!

 The observation takes place on Sunday and Saturday, April 4th and 5th, on the tower of Normann-Pradau Castle in Valpovo.

From 7 p.m. until 11. Join us, and celebrate the year of astronomy!
