 This is my second visit to the Visnjan's School of Astronomy (VSA), and Filip's third. VSA took place between August 15 - 25, this year. We arrived in Visnjan a day before it started, and resided in the dormitorium, where we later worked and slept.
This year, there were 5 groups of students, one os assembeling the remote telescope on Tican's observatory, the second studied variable stars, the third dealt with electrophonic sounds and ultra-low frequencies of electromagnetic waves, and the group we were in studied meteors and their activities...The Report following is in Croatian.

International Meteor Conference this year in Poreč, Croatia! |

 An important astronomical event which is held each year in a different country, takes place in Croatia this year. The International Meteor Conference (IMC), organized by the International Meteor Organization (www.imo.net) takes place in Poreč (western Croatia) from 24th to 27th September. This comes as a great acknowledgment to Croatia in astronomical and meteor tracking sense, which is largely owed to Korado Korlevic, Zeljko Andreic, and Damir Segon, the administrator of the Croatian Meteor Network (www.astro.hr/hmm), which has recorded great results in the past year.
We will also take a part in the Conference, with our member Filip and Denis lecturing about their work with meteors at this year's Visnjan's School of astronomy.

 U zadnjih par navrata Denis i ja pokušali smo snimiti nekoliko polja da vidimo dali ima šta od fotometrije i mozda potrage za promjenjivim zvijezdama. Guiding rađen sa Celestronom 8" pomoću web kamere Phillips TouCam na zvijezdu Deneb, a snimano Canon-om EOS 300D i refraktorom Skywatcher ED80. Ekspozicije su bile 2 min - 30tak frameova. Uočavamo da snimamo do 14. -15. mag.
Fotometrija svih zvijezda na slici napravljena je MuniWinom i mozemo reći da imamo par mogućih kandidata za  promjenjive (na slici se jasno uočava krivulja, a greška je u granicama normale). Trenutno imamo nekih problema sa astrometrijom zvijezda na slici, ali nadamo se da ce i to uskoro biti rijeseno. Na slikama je snimljeno polje koje je kalibrirano (dark, flat), i jedna od krivulja iz Muniwina (potencijalni kandidat), kakvih ima jos nekoliko.

 Nevjerojatno hladno vrijeme pogodovalo je snimanju, ali ne i nama :) Gaj i Filip nisu si ponjeli jaknu, pa su se smrzli do kostiju, ali evo, preživili su uz lakšu prehladu. Završili smo oko 4 sata, posnimali faltove i otišli kući, naravno, zaboravili smo snimiti darkove... Sljedeći dan smo se pojavili i posnimali ih (da, jako smo nemarni :D). Evo rezultata, 11 X 8 minuta (našla se jedna i od 10min, samo za probu). Zanemarite kadriranje, i ovako smo jedva našli zvijezdu za guiding...
