"Catch me if you can" aka Jupiter  Last couple of nights were free from clouds and bloodthirsty mosquitos so we had another observation. We gathered on monday, 16. 07. 2007 in our yard. After setting-up, we caught Jupiter and as we prepared to photograph it, it silently hid behind the building. Then we moved the telescope, caught Jupiter again and started our camera.. but it didn't work.. And as we fixed the problem, Jupiter went behind the building again! :) We gave up from photographing that shy planet.
Then we returned the scope to the original position, polar-aligned it again so we could watch the sky and enjoyed the views of several nebulae.. In the meantime we searched for that 8th magnitude comet in Big Dipper.. Didn't find it.. Ivica must have given us the wrong coordinates!! :) David was the most determined, he even tried with an American (i.e. ETX), but when luck deserts you, there's no point in trying... So we "exterminated" all the cookies we brought and "ice" tea and went home. The team: Gaj, Filip, David, Bac.. Ana dropped by too..
