19:00 UT + 1h. Amateur astronomers of the ANONYMUS astronomical society come to the meeting angry as dogs, their pants wet from the rain that refuses to stop. We are 'totally eclipsed' or better yet obscured by clouds (as in the Pink Floyd song). The hope to watch the red moon is slowly fading. New equipment arrived. Rainbow-colored filters, T-ring, UHC and our good old C8 and Meade ETX scopes.

   20:00 UT + 1h. Table is full of food and drinks because Ana is celebrating her birthday. Happy birthday, Ana. The rain is still falling, and it looks that this will be one of those boring days when rain falls 24 hours a day. We go out, and the only interesting thing we saw was an owl on top of the birch-tree. For someone this also is a rare event just like an eclipse. All talk that the first eclipse in 2 years is a bust, but they still hope. 

    21:00 UT + 1h.  Somehow we started talking about photography, where did that come from? Next we remember is pulling out our old photo albums from the closet, remebering those early days of our club. People can't believe how things changed. On the oldest photo, the birch-tree outside the building is even smaller than Bac (around 1 meter), and everybody is watching the Partial solar eclipse in 1996.

    22:00 UT + 1h. The rain is giving up. Clouds too. We are not. The Moon is barely visible through the dense cloud-cover, but visible enough to see a slight darkening in the lower-left part of it's surface. Maybe the sky will clear, someone says. And so we continue eating cookies, watching old pictures, enjoying the warmth of the 2 by 2 room.

    In a blink of an eye somebody steps outside and shouts: "People, it's clear! Crystal clear!". People go out with delight and look up. No clouds miles away. The sky is clear as if someone washed it. Tiny stars visible from horizon to zenith. And finally, partially eclipsed lunar disk, in reddish and orange color. Take out the equipment. Set-up telescopes. We broke a record in taking C( out of the box and putting it on the 100kg heavy tripod. An estimate: 2min 13s. Canon cameras (300D and 350D) are in the front row. Of course we forgot T-ring, from the excitement. Filters are changing to see which one's the best. Ica and Ana are taking pictures, great pictures. It's easy when you have the best 2 astrophotographers, someone would say. 

    And so the totality came. Images we watched on NASA web site we now watch in real-time and live. We upload photographs to our website and Space Weather too. Everyone is happy, the sky is wonderfull, even so that we took a few pictures of Saturn.
