I only opened the box on wordpress a few days ago, so apols if this is a real newb problem I have.Implemented the above, and find it works-ish. Somehow, multiple records in the wordpress db are getting updated.EG have two posts, Hello World with an id of 1 and Goodbye World with an id of 77.I view Hello World , and fine, it shows one view. Then I view Goodbye World , and it shows one view. But, interestingly enough, Hello World now shows 2 views. Every time I view Hello World', only its post count increments. Every time I view Goodbye World', both post counts increment. This is reflected in the postmeta table.Have gone over the code, can't see any typos (copy and pasted it from above). Using the wp_head hook. Baffled. Any advice appreciated!

Finally had 2 warm evenings under the stars. The All Arizona Messier Marathon was a kick. Lots of driving, but worth it. Daytime temps were in the high 90s and nighttime was high 60s. A very dusty site located next to a cotton farm, but surprisingly my equipment came home clean. Someone counted a total attendance of 177 people at the pre-marathon meeting. I counted around ~80 scopes. There were several people from around the country including a woman all the way from India!The site situated between Phoenix and Tucson was brightened by light domes to the north and southeast (Bortle ~4.5), but seeing was exceptional at zenith. I managed to glimpse 108 of the 110, missing M74 due to Venus glare and M30 due to sunrise and Tucson dome. I looked long and hard for both and with my goto scope I knew they were in the field of view and thought I saw them bearly, but nothing resolved well enough to discount my wishful imagination, so I decided that I could not honestly count them. I heard that some folks claimed that they saw all 110, and a few others  109.All in all I had a good enough time that I plan to do it again next year and stay an extra day or 2.

Beautifully written Tara! I find that there are *so* many people that have very little or no self esteem out here in the world. There are far too many people that have no clue *who* they really are as individuals. From my experience, its often these people that take things to heart and, right away, assume that its ALL about them (meaning something that has been said or written). The best way to overcome this is to build solid confidence about who you really are. With that confidence (your *rock*) comes self esteem (also essential). And with self esteem comes a back bone to truly *OWN* your every emotion. Thankyou for this post. It is very timely for me. I am really trying to notice my tendancy to stories & how it affects my interactions, particularly with my children. One day this week, I ignored a call (as my son had arrived home)from my mother who I was feeling annoyed about a request she was making. I managed to blow this up as a full blown story in my head whilst putting the kids to bed. My eldest (daughter) said, mummy why are you being all horrible & stressy with me know since Brother came home. That really pulled me up short & changed my wallowing in story. Esp as she thought it was due to her brother coming home! Do not want that sort of sibling issue! Thank you again. Jacs x
