The International Year of Astronomy (IYA2009.) is under way! PDF Print E-mail

International Year of Astronomy 2009 Official Logo, and Web site!      It has been 400 years since Galileo Galilei showed the world beauties of the night sky through the first telescope. Tee aim has stayed the same in a new project of the International Astronomical Union together with UNESCO, called International Year of Astronomy, 2009. It's mail goal is to offer more and more people the opportunity of observing the night sky through telescopes. 

     In Croatia, the organizational nod belongs to the Opservatory in Zagreb, and we've joined the project together with them. Our mail goal will be to popularize astronomy in Valpovo and Osijek, first and foremost, through observational sessions available to public, as well as lectures. All that awaits in 2009. Get ready!
 
  
     U projekt je uključeno preko 135 organizacija sa svih kontinenata. U Hrvatskoj je uloga nacionalnog organizacijskog središta pripala Zvjezdarnici Zagreb i Hrvatskom astronomskom društvu (HAD)a. "Anonymus" se priključio u zajednički projekt s Zvjezdarnicom iz Zagreba. Naš glavni cilj je popularizirati astronomiju, ponajviše na području Valpovštine i Osječko-baranjske županije kroz promatranja za javnost te znanstveno-popularna predavanja koja će se održavati kroz cijelu 2009. godinu (o čemu ćemo ovdje obaviještavati!).
