Here's a little update about our participation within the Croatian Meteor Network. As you already know, one of the 15 cameras is located in Valpovo, at our club, on our building.

So that you wouldn't think we just sit around and do nothing, in the last couple of weeks we've begun processing captured frames. Here's a short description of the process.

   Za potrebe HMM-a Peter S. Gural (poznat u krugovima meteoraša kao autor brojnih softwarea)  razvio je software MTP (Maximum Temporal Pixel) za detekciju meteora na nasim .BMP slikama.

    Nakon obrade sa MTP-om  i MTP filterom koji eliminira sve objekte koji nisu meteori (avioni, sismisi, ptice) radimo vizualnu verifikaciju objekata sa softwareom SkyPatrol-MTP filter (autor Igor Terlević). Nakon toga dobijemo samo slike na kojima su detekcije meteora te jos neke dodatne datoteke koje koristimo za daljnju obradu. Za svoje potrebe HMM je razvila nekoliko zasebnih softwarea (MetMath, MetRad, RadPlot,...).

   U ovoj fazi mi koristimo MetMath za određivanje koordinata i magnitude meteora. Izlazne datoteke iz  MetMatha koristimo u daljnjem određivanju orbita sa softwareom UFOOrbit.

 Astronomsko društvo"Anonymus" uključen je u projekt HMM (Hrvatska Meteorska mreža).
