Astronomical society Anonymus in association with The Department of Physics (of the University of J.J. Strossmayer) in Osijek has founded an academic astronomy group Osijek.

In the 30th of October a presentational convention of founding an academic astronomy group has been held, at the Department oh Physics in Osijek.
One of the main objectives of our society has always been promoting astronomy and science in general, especially within the young population in Valpovo, Osijek and overall in Croatia. Encouraged by that, members of astronomical society Anonymus, in associtation with prof. Igor Miklavčić decided to start a new academic astronomy group Osijek at the Department of Physics in Osijek.
Our first objective is to start an outside-class activity and to e ducate students of mathematics and physics in general astronomy.

Goran Kurtiovic held a presentation, in which he presented the latest projects of our society, as well as all projects held during our time as an astronomical society. Especially the two total solar eclipses expeditions in Hungary 1999. and Turkey earlier this year). Also present were president Nataša Bek with Marko Leustek and Gaj Tomas. Besides them, a great response showed students of mathematics and physics, who joined the group.
