Astronomical society "Anonymus" from Valpovo (Croatia) was founded in November, 1994. as an astronomy club with the House of Technical Culture in Valpovo, and continues to work under the same name as an astronomical society from 2001.
Activities over the years From the beginning, "Anonymus" has been educating young students from local elementary and high schools, so that they could compete at regional competitions and achieve admireable success. Aside from the courses, ANONYMUS regularly held public observations from the tower of the Normann-Prandau castle in Valpovo. At the end of 2001. members of an unregistered astronomy club decided to make a huge step and register our group as an astronomical society. At the meeting (on your right) were everyone who had anything to do with astronomy and our group. Of all the activities over the recent years, we would like to point out our expedition to Balaton (Hungary) to observe the total solar eclipse in 1999., as well as the one 7 years later in Turkey (March, 2006.) Anonymus encouraged the foundations of dozents of other sections and societies throughout the state with participating in our biggest project ever called "Given Sky" (original: "Nebo na poklon"). This project saw many young students gathered around main subjects of astronomy and observations.
